On the second day in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, apart from the cold weather, we had to face another disappointment. Being enthusiastic walkers we had come to this part of the country to visit Bjelašnica, the mountain that had become famous some decades ago when in 1984 the Olympic games were held in Sarajevo. In the tourist office they told us that there would be no kind of public transport going from the old town to the Olympic ski slopes on Bjelašnica mountain. Are we really going to stay a day longer or are we going to take the train to a hopefully warmer Mostar, we asked ourselves. We decided to take the evening train back to Mostar and save an important day to spend on the Croatian coast. We will definitely visit this area again when there are more things to do in another year.
