€40,- for an overnight stay in the apartment old Marshall close to the old bridge really was a good price, but the lady of the tourist office informed us, that it was only May. In Summer it would be a little more expensive, about €50,-. What is even more funny: the apartment was located next to restaurant Babilon, the restaurant which we chose to have dinner, the year before. The accommodation was clean and the equipment was okay. If you stay in the old town, you are allowed to park your car in the old town for free, which is what we did soon after we agreed on the rental price. For the rest of that Saturday we enjoyed the atmosphere near Neretva river and Stari Most, the bridge that nowadays again connects both Croat and Muslim banks since its reconstruction was finished in 2004. We also watched the guys jumping off the bridge into the ice cold Neretva water, trying to keep the tradition alive and collect some money. Last but not least we enjoyed tasting the domestic food and drinks. We had a lot of fun in pub old Marshall with the local people and the barkeeper in particular. We are going to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina again soon and Mostar in particular.
