It was the day of our visit to Paklenica national park in Starigrad, Dalmatia. From photos in several brochures in the past years we knew that this would be something for walkers like us. On this album page you will find photos about our descend from the mountain hut, planinarski dom, on an altitude of about 500 meters, where we had some drinks. The trail downwards offers amazing sights over the gorge you might have missed during the ascend if you forget to look back. When we reached the gorge again at a lower level we watched the daredevils that climbed the steep walls of the gorge's rocks following the prepared routes. Then we walked towards the exit.
That evening during our dinner in pizzeria Tomato in Starigrad there was a cloudburst and the streets were flooded. We realized that we had been very lucky with the weather that day. We looked forward to the next day when we would be driving some more hundreds of kilometres southwards across Croatia to Makarska, our second home town ;-)
